Rating Kardashian/Jenner Halloween Costumes 2022

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UVA chapter.

This family always seems to perfect every Halloween costume because they really pay attention to every miniscule detail possible. This is why they replicate their costumes so accurately. I always enjoy seeing their costumes every year but this year I’ll focus on Kylie, Kim, and Kendall’s costumes.

Kylie Jenner decided to be the Bride of Frankenstein this year that was played by Elsa Lanchester in the 1935 film. I thought it was really interesting how Kylie decided to do this costume because it doesn’t fit into the usual type of costumes she does since she usually has really sexy costumes but this is more covered. I think Kylie committed to this costume so well and really went outside of her comfort zone because she even did the same scary facial pose that the Bride of Frankenstein did when that’s a pose that we’ve never seen from her before. Additionally, Kylie Jenner also dressed up as Elvira from Mistress of the dark which wasn’t surprising because it does represent that sexy type of costume that Kylie usually goes for but she did it really well. I thought Kylie also replicated Elvira’s hair really well too. Kylie has a theme going for her costumes because she pulled both costumes from American horror type films from the 20th century. Both her costumes have a dark and spooky undertone so I really like how she fits it all together. Overall, I would rate her Bride of Frankenstein costume a 9.5/10 and the Elvira costume as a 9/10. I would give her these ratings because she just did so well in copying the exact costumes and I think she chose unique costumes, especially Elvira, that aren’t done very frequently and that makes her stand out even more.

As for Kim Kardashian she was the mutant Mystique from “X-men,” known as Raven who is played by Jennifer Lawrence. I thought the costume was done so well and her makeup artists did a great job covering every piece of her body exactly like the character’s body. I really enjoyed the red hair on Kim as well and would love to see more of that in the future. I thought this was really cute to do too, especially because Jennifer Lawrence is a huge fan of the Kardashians. This fits into Kim’s vibe because she’s wearing a full body suit which is a move she would pull as she loves them. Overall, I would rate this costume a 9.5/10 because of the same reasoning that she just replicated it so well, especially paying attention to the small details on her body.

Finally, Kendell Jenner dressed up as Jessie, the cowgirl rag doll, from Toy Story. This is interesting because I loved the costume on Kendall and I thought it fit her very nicely but I also think it was more of a basic costume for her, however, usually this whole family loves to have multiple costumes so maybe we’ll get more to look at! Even though it was a little basic, I thought it was really meaningful since Kendall loves horses and riding so this whole cowgirl aesthetic is really fitting for her. Overall, I would rate this an 8.5/10 because it looks really good on her as well as being properly replicated and it reflects her love for horses.

In general, the Kardashian/Jenner family did really well this Halloweekend and we’ll definitely be seeing more looks from them as Halloween comes to an end. I thought it was cool to see some different and unexpected approaches towards the costumes they picked and I always love seeing what the family and their teams come up with for Halloween!
