Winter break is HERE! Or, if you’re like me, winter break will be here in two days. Besides traveling and spending time with my family, I love to make a bucket list for the upcoming break, whether it’s winter, spring, or summer break, of things that I want to do, need to get done, or haven’t had time to do during the semester. Here’s my bucket list for winter break, and maybe my list will give you some ideas of your own!

Binge Game of Thrones

Ok, so I might be part of the 1% of the population that still hasn’t seen Game of Thrones. I wanted to watch it over summer break, but got attached to other shows. I know, I’m watching it so after the fact, with Season eight ending earlier this year, but hopefully Jon Snow can forgive me.

Build a Gingerbread House, Decorate a Christmas Tree, and Build a Snowman

All. In. One. Day. Yes, I’m ambitious, and there’s nothing more that I enjoy than spending my day on the couch, watching tv, with a glass of hot cocoa in my hand. However, I never actually do typical “wintery” things during winter break, and it’s time I start participating.

Go Skiing, Sledding, Snowboarding, and Ice Skating

Fun fact about me: I have never been skiing or snowboarding.

Spend time with my dog

This might be a basic wish on my bucket list, but my dog Brooklyn loves the snow just as much as I do, and she loves to run around and play in it. I’m looking forward to cuddling up with Brooklyn by the fire, as well as watching her go crazy running around in the snow.

Go to a Winery

Even though I promised myself I would make it to a Charlottesville area winery this semester, I never did. I’m making my mom go with me over winter break!

Make Hot Chocolate from Scratch

This is something I’ve never had the guts or time to try – after all, Swiss Miss is where it’s at. But I’d like to try experimenting making a healthier version of my favorite winter drink, or possibly adding some twists, like using chocolate chips, peppermint sticks, and caramel sauce.
