Sometimes we all just need a little break from the chaos, and for me personally, there are only a couple things that help me get through tough times. One of those things is my love for the most random and obscure YouTube videos that somehow manage to make me laugh. So, after scrolling through an insane amount of my liked videos and checking out my recommended page on YouTube, I decided to compile a list of videos that I think would help anyone get through tough times. Whether it’s 3:00pm or 3:00am, I promise that at least one of these videos is guaranteed to turn that frown upside down.Â
- True Confessions with John Mulaney and Pete Davidson by Jimmy Fallon
-
As one of my favorite videos I have ever witnessed in my whole life, John Mulaney and Pete Davidson are the two people I believe are capable of making anyone feel better. They both are literally at the polar opposite ends of the personality spectrum but manage to be one of the most iconic duos of all time. Their charisma, height, handsome looks, and humor are all appreciated in this video and for that, I’d like to take a moment to thank Jimmy Fallon for this one. It’s truly a gem.Â

- Ryan Reynolds & Jake Gyllenhaal Answer the Web’s Most Searched Questions by WIRED
-
In full honesty, I think this will remain the funniest WIRED autocomplete interviews for the rest of time, and I feel this way for many reasons. Firstly, based on this interview, it’s safe to assume Ryan Reynolds and Jake Gyllenhaal are not normal people with normal thoughts. Their minds are beyond the average human, and it is evident in this interview. From eating baby pandas to having eyes covered in eyeliner, I promise you this one is definitely one you want to witness.Â

- Any of “That’s Cringe” by Cody Ko (ft. Noel Miller)
-
Without a doubt I can say that commentary channels are officially on the top tier of YouTube. As someone who looks at their phone and types “LOL” when in reality my face looks like I’m in math class, nothing truly makes me laugh like these videos. To be honest, they’re all great but I think “That’s Cringe: Ajit Pai” is definitely one of my favorites. Cody Ko and Noel Miller are my current obsession and I think this series on YouTube proves why.

- MESSY BOYS TRY POT (ft. Troye Sivan) by Tyler Oakley
-
If you were someone who was obsessed with the OG YouTubers, this video provides so much nostalgia and in the best way possible. Also, if you were shipping TROYLER like me in 2013, this is what I like to call gold content. It’s a cute and funny trip down memory lane and reminds me of when YouTube wasn’t as complicated as it is now.Â

- Justin Bieber Carpool Karaoke by The Late Late Show with James Corden
-
Justin Bieber in his Purpose phase and James Corden being James Corden. What else could you ever want? This video is a classic and it’s filled with undeniable bops that you can sing too because we’re all singers at heart.Â

- Harry Styles – Watermelon Sugar (Official Video) by Harry Styles
-
I was debating putting a music video because there are just so many good ones out there, and I know this song has been so overplayed that people may be sick of it, but the music video is just overflowing with good vibes. If you’re ever in a funk, I think watching this music video will at least let you appreciate what we should all appreciate…watermelons.Â

- How To Sing Like Your Favorite Artists by nigahiga
-
Look, Ryan Higa is considered a YouTube genius, and if anything proves it, it’s this video. If you were ever obsessed with YouTube in your childhood, this is the best feeling of nostalgia, and you know what? The amount of creativity in this video is respectable and hilarious, so yes, I highly recommend.Â

- Dr. Phil Reads Thirst Tweets
-
I am not even going to explain why this video is on this list. If you’re wondering, the answer is yes, this video is disturbing. But is it super funny? Yes. Do I think it’s insane? Yes. Do I still recommend it? Unfortunately, yes.Â

- Weekend Update: Colin Jost and Michael Che Switch Jokes – SNL by SNL
-
If you are as in love with Michael Che and Colin Jost as I am, this is simply a classic. These men are so funny and so charismatic it’s almost illegal. Gold content that’s guaranteed to make you laugh, I promise (just a warning their jokes are so out of pocket).Â
