Thanksgiving is here! Although the turkey always takes the spotlight, sides are one of the best parts about Thanksgiving. If you’re not sure what sides to make this year, I have a delicious and easy brussel sprout recipe that’s a favorite in my family. This brussel sprout with honey, lemon, garlic, and walnuts recipe is definitely a crowd-pleaser.

You’ll need the following ingredients:

2 Ibs of brussel sprouts, halved

1/4 cup vegetable oil

1/2 cup toasted walnuts, halved

Sea salt to taste

1 cup of honey

1/2 cup of olive oil

1 Tbsp. garlic, minced

2 lemons, zested

First, preheat the oven to 400 degrees. In a bowl toss the brussel sprouts with vegetable oil until evenly distributed. Then arrange evenly on a baking sheet. Bake until tender and caramelized (about 20 minutes). While the brussel sprouts cook, make the glaze by combining honey, olive oil, garlic, and lemon zest. Once the brussel sprouts are out of the oven, mix them with the toasted walnuts and add the glaze and sprinkle a little sea salt for the final touch.

This recipe is super easy, delicious, and serves six. My mom first found this recipe in a cookbook by Jennie Iverson called Ski Town Après Ski, this recipe comes from the Terra Bistro in Vail, Colorado, so you know it’s good.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Xoxo,

Rose
