Valentine’s Day is Sunday and many of you are spending the holiday here in Burlington. This snowy, college town of ours isn’t only known for skiing and snowboarding, but it’s also perfect for a romantic Valentine’s Day. Whether you just want to go out to dinner and see a movie, or spend the weekend at a ski resort, there’s something for everyone. If you’re not familiar with the area and are looking for some date ideas, we have provided you with some fun things to do that are relatively inexpensive and close to campus.
1. Grab a bite at the Skinny Pancake
The Skinny Pancake is a UVM favorite. The Waterfront location in downtown Burlington is hosting a bluegrass brunch on Sunday from 12-3. Don’t miss it!
2. See a movie at Roxy Cinema

3. Go see Joe Russo’s Almost Dead at Higher Ground

4. Go for a wagon ride at Shelburne Farms
On Sunday afternoon, Shelburne Farms is offering 30 minute wagon rides. Tickets are $10 each and sold on a first-come, first-served basis.
5. Stay at a ski resort
A lot of ski resorts are offering Valentine’s Day deals. Sugarbush Resort is having a torchlight parade with fireworks. The Mountain Top Inn & Resort is hosting snowshoe tours, horse drawn sleigh rides, and snow tubing.
