There’s plenty of places to study at UWL. What does your favorite spot say about you?
In your dorm/apartment/house
You are either not distracted easily or you just don’t have much work to get done, because let’s face it: turning on Netflix, making a snack, or taking a nap would all be so much easier than studying right now.
In one of the academic buildings
You like your space and you know how to get it. You don’t understand why more people don’t use the big empty rooms at night, but you don’t really care (more space for you!).
The first floor of the library
You can’t stand studying in complete silence and you like to bring friends with you. You could go to one of the individual desks if you really need to buckle down and get some work done, but studying amidst the buzz of group work is just fine with you.
The second floor of the library
You need a little more peace and quiet than the first floor can provide, but total silence freaks you out, so you opt for the second floor.
The basement of the library
You don’t want to be talked to, looked at, or breathed on. You will most likely glare at anyone who makes the mistake of walking past you. Heaven forbid anyone coughs or sneezes.
The U
You needed something new in your life, and voila! A brand new building has appeared on your campus. Every time you scope out a new floor you find a new place to work, and you’re close to all the food, too.
Outside
You are a dedicated student and can’t get behind on your studies, but you also don’t want to miss out on one of those rare warm days, so you find a picnic table and get back to work. If you’re really lucky, you have a hammock.
In class, 5 minutes before the exam
We can’t be star students all the time, can we? Sometimes the best way to ace the exam is to get a good (and I mean really good) night’s rest, and then memorize that last piece of info with just enough time to spare.
