After a whirlwind week of courtroom drama, news coverage, and protests, Brett Kavanaugh, accused of sexual assault, is confirmed as a U.S. Supreme Court Justice.

*sigh*

It’s a hard week for women. After protests and rallies and the uniting power of the #believewomen movement, many of us are left feeling angry, confused, and defeated.

I’m not here with a solution. I’m not here with explanations or angry rants. I’m simply here saying you’re not alone.

You are not alone.

If you are a survivor, if you are a sympathizer, if you didn’t follow the events of the last few weeks and you’re confused by what all of it means–you are not alone.

I don’t have a game plan or much in terms of words of encouragement to offer you, all I can suggest to the women of this nation is do your research. See whose political views you align with.

VOTE.

We all have the right. We all have a voice, even if it’s small.

If you feel violated, hurt, confused, angry… vote. It’s our best shot at correcting our nation’s wrong turns and making changes for the better.
