As the school year comes to a close, we start to eagerly await coffee runs with our friends and warm summer nights, but do you have your 2014 Summer Bucket List? Have no fear! Here is a list of things you might have forgotten.
1.)Â Back up your computer!
If you haven’t bought one already, go buy an external hard drive (make sure it is compatible with your computer) and back it all up!
2.)Â Go through your winter clothes
You don’t need that sweater grandma knitted you five years ago. Haven’t worn it in a year? Chances are you won’t this year.
3.)Â Start a savings account and get a credit card
It’s never too early to start saving. You never know when some extra cash might come in handy. Starting credit now will make it easier to get loans in your future.
4.)Â Give back
Whether it be a contribution to March of Dimes or becoming a Big Sister, you will feel good about your self while helping others.
5.)Â Update your resume
Update your resume with your perfect summer internship and other volunteering that you do all summer so you don’t frantically update it when you really need it.
6.)Â Graduation Planning
Are you on track to graduate on time? It will make class registration so much easier!
7.)Â Get Cultured
Go to that new café or to the trail you’ve never been on to make the best story for when you get back.
8.)Â Set down your phone
It’s amazing what is happening around you when you aren’t staring down at your phone.
9.)Â Start and finish a project
Not only will it make for a great story, but the responsibilities through your accomplishment will be useful later on in life.
10.)Â Take some time for yourself
Take a time out and regroup with yourself. Take some time to de-stress-ify and get ready for the best summer ever!
