14 Stages of Wearing False Eyelashes as Told by Gifs

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UW Stout chapter.

When it comes to false eyelashes, it’s a hate-love relationship. Either way, you know how real the struggle can be.

1. Hyping yourself up

You plan on looking your best tonight and give yourself a pre-lash pep talk.

2. Waiting for the glue to dry

There is no longer wait in this world.

3. Putting them on, only to see them fall right off

Guess the glue needed to be drier.

4. Waiting again

This is taking forever.

5. Finally getting them stuck to your lid and seeing they’re crooked

Time to start all over.

6. Trying to get that one corner that’s still falling off to stick

This requires surgical precision. I am now a doctor.

7. Getting glue in your eye

When I say it burns, I mean it burns.

8. Successfully getting the lash to stick

Success!

9. Then seeing it’s still crooked

At least you tried your best.

10. Calling it a night and going out like that anyway

I mean, who’s really looking that close?

11. Feeling your eyelashes get heavier as the night goes on

Does this mean I can skip the gym tomorrow?

12. Wondering how some girls do this every dayPlease teach me your magical ways.

13. That satisfying feeling of taking them offNothing’s ever felt so good.

14. Realizing you glued them to your actual lashes and accidentally ripping some outI guess I didn’t need all my lashes anyway.

The struggle may be real, but it’s worth it to look this good.
