In an effort to more thoroughly understand Stout’s biggest on-campus student org event, Her Campus sent two writers to witness it in action. Here’s what we thought:Â
1.    What does LAN even stand for?
2.    How do they do this for 48 hours?
3.   Why do they do this to themselves?
4.  It is way too dark
5.    It’s so loud
6.    There are so many people here
7.    And so many computers
8.   This is the scariest thing I’ve ever seen
9.   Why is it called the People’s Organization of Networking Gaming?
10. Is it communism based?
11. If they call themselves PONG, then I expect Ping Pong to be one of their tournaments
12. Or like…beer pong
13.  I’m living out that SNL Esports sketch right now
14. There’s yelling!!
15. There’s one woman in this organization and I would die for her
16. Who thought this was a good idea?
17. Does anyone who does this actually not look dead after?
18. What does participating in LANs do to your soul?
19. Will there be any virtual LANs during corona?
20. Can there be a GirlsGoGames LAN?
21. Can I just play Webkinz by myself?
22. I’ll just play Nintendogs in a corner by myself
23. Who wants to make fun of Episodes with me?
24. I wish I was in bed right nowÂ
25. This was a bad ideaÂ
26. I smell pizza, who has pizza?
27. I just want an Animal Crossing tournament
28. How hard would it be to take over this organization with casual gamers?
29. How does Stout have so many gaming organizations?
30. I wonder what’s on TV right now?
31. Why does PONG treat their President like a God?
32. I’m so tired
33. This is when my sleep paralysis demon shows up
34. Is this even legal?
35. Should this be legal?
36. So this is what the student center looks like at 4:30 in the morning
Chaos personified. See y’all again in October!
