What are you doing this Friday or Saturday night? If your answer was “IDK” then I have a great plan for you! Come watch the UW-Stout Dance Ensemble recital! Â Each student involved has been highly dedicated to learning choreography and promoting this show so here’s seven reasons you should be at the Dance Ensemble recital this weekend…
1. You will be supporting over 80 dancers
Here we are! Dance ensemble continually has an abundance of dancers who are eager to perform. Of the 80 students, odds are, you know at least one of them! As a dancer, there is no better feeling than looking out into the audience and seeing that there isn’t a single seat open! We want ALL of you to come see what we have been working on!Â
2. There’s something for everybody
Our dances this semester range from a lyrical dance to “Thinking Out Loud” by Ed Sheeran to a booty popping routine to “7/11” by the Queen herself….Beyonce. You will surely be entertained no matter who you are.Â
3. You can win free stuff
Show up. Tweet. Win. Three simple steps to possibly win a prize! You may even have a chance to get up and twerk your way to a prize!
4. Learn some new moves
For those of you who are on your top T-Swift game, this is an opportunity to learn some new moves and kill it on the dance floor.Â
5. Make a new playlist
You’ll definitely want to make sure you have the Shazam app so you can add it right to your list. This show has a killer song line-up that I guarantee will end up on a Spotify playlist when you get home. Â
6. Come planned or un-planned
Dance Ensemble welcomes you all whether you’ve had this planned for weeks or if you decided at 6:45 to make your appearance! It’s a quick and easy form of entertainment to throw together a night of fun for you and your friends!Â
7. You might have just a little bit of fun
It’s okay to bust a move sitting in your seat. In fact, we encourage it! We guarantee that you will be smiling ear-to-ear by the end of the show.Â
Dance Ensemble is absolutely thrilled to perform on Friday and Saturday night. We hope to see you all there either night at 7:00 PM to try and figure out what love is! Tickets are $5 for Stout Students and $7 for the general public. To get your tickets, you can visit the service center in the MSC or at the door. With 26 dances full of groovy moves, this is a great show for everybody young and old!Â
