Name: Jonathon Stabenow
Year: Junior
Major: Marketing and Business Education
Â
HC: Which fraternity are you representing?
JS: I am representing the fraternity Sigma Tau Gamma.
HC: Aside from the Greek community what are you involved with on campus?
Other than being part of Sigma Tau Gamma I am also currently involved in MBEA (marketing and business education association).
HC: Why did you choose to run for Mr. Greek Week?
JS: I decided to run for Mr. Greek because I thought it would be a fun way to get more involved with the Greek community on campus and was also voted as the best choice by my brothers of Sigma Tau Gamma.Â
HC: Why should you win Mr. Greek Week?
JS: I feel that I would be a great choice as Mr. Greek because of my passion and drive to not only better the Greek community but also the campus and community as a whole. There really is a lot that we as Greeks have to offer the students here at the University of Wisconsin Stout and our community and I would love the opportunity to be a figure that represents this.
HC: What’s your favorite part of Greek Week?
JS: I would have to say my favorite part of Greek week is the opportunity to really get to know others from different organizations. By participating in the various competitive and non-competitive events you really get a chance to bond with other Greeks and have a lot of fun doing so.
HC: What’s your life motto?
JS: My life motto can be summed up by a quote from the great Vince Lombardi, and that is, “Perfection is not attainable but if we chase perfection we can catch excellence.” What this means to me is that what I do and who I am is not perfect by any means but if I try my best and reach for the ultimate goal of perfection I can achieve a level of excellence that I can look back on and be proud of myself for achieving.
HC: Anything else you want to add?
JS: Some other fun facts about myself other than being part of the Greek community is that I am part of another brotherhood in the National Guard. I am also a die-hard Wisconsin sports fan, love participating in athletic activities and have a twin that is 5’3” (I am 6’5”). As for my personality I am a fun, outgoing individual that believes in key values such as honesty, loyalty, and empathy.
