HC: Describe yourself in 3 words.
ML: Sarcastic, Funny, Passionate
HC: How did you know you wanted to attend Stout?
ML: The first time I walked through campus it felt like home. Something about Menomonie and the Stout community has always been very familiar and inviting.
HC:Â What is your dream job?
ML: A print project manager
HC: You are involved with the choir on campus. What are some of your favorite things about being a part of the Chamber Choir? Any fun memories?
ML: I have always loved singing, whether it be with a choir, through voice lessons, or in my car with the radio blasting. Despite Stout not having a music major, I love that there are enough students on campus who love to sing that there is a choir where we can all come together and share that commonality. I’ve met a lot of really amazing people in my 4 years with Chamber Choir. Having the opportunity to tour China with those amazing people for two weeks is an experience I will never forget.Â
HC: You are the president of Stout Typographical Society. Tell us a bit about what that entails.
ML: Stout Typographical Society [STS] is an organization on campus run like a commercial print shop. We produce apparel, signage, and other printed products for organizations on campus or in the surrounding area. My main duty as President of STS is to set goals for the year and make sure the members are gaining valuable skills and knowledge while having fun in the process! Almost all of my best college memories are because of the people and opportunities that this club brought into my life. Acting as President this past year was my way of giving back for everything I got out of it. If I created just one “best college memory” moment for any of the members this year, I’d consider it a success.
HC: If you could go anywhere in the world tomorrow, where would it be?
ML:Disney World. I could go every day for the rest of my life and still get goosebumps driving under the welcome sign. It’s so magical!
HC: What is at the top of your bucket list?
ML: Skinny dipping… My parents aren’t gonna see this, right??
HC: What would be your ideal Saturday night?
ML: Depending on my mood, it’s either dressing up to go out for dinner and a few drinks after, or staying in to cook an elaborate meal and binge-watch Netflix in my pajamas. As long as food and friends are involved, I’m happy.
