SL: In my dorm, watching TLC with my roommate.
HC: Who is your style icon?
SL: I love Vanessa Hudgens’ casual, boho style!
HC: What qualities do you look for in a significant other?
SL: I look for someone who’s kind, funny, and close to his family. My boyfriend Alex definitely is all of these things and more!
HC: What would be your ideal date?
SL: My ideal date would be visiting a cute town (my favorites are Waukesha and Oconomowoc, Wisconsin), eating lunch in a local restaurant, spending the day window shopping in antique stores, and then getting ice cream before going home and watching a movie.
HC: What are 3 things you cannot live without?
SL: Chocolate, liquid lipstick, and my family. Â
HC: What are you involved in on campus?
SL: I write for HerCampus and I absolutely love it! Â
HC: Why do you love about writing?
SL: I love being able to express myself and connect with people from all over. It’s really satisfying to take a piece from start to finish and then for it to make a difference in other people’s lives.
HC: What’s your favorite thing/subject to write about?
SL: I like to write things with personal meaning to me because I get to infuse my personality and stories into my writing.
HC: Where do you see yourself in five years?
SL: In five years I see myself running my own blog, where I get to be in control of what I write about and can work from home or remote locations when I travel.Â
HC: What’s one thing on your bucket list?
SL: I want to get my scuba diving license and explore places like the Great Barrier Reef in Australia and the Palancar reef system in Cozumel, Mexico.
HC: What’s some advice you would give other freshman here at stout?
SL: Get involved with something on campus, whether it’s a club, sport, or job. You’ll meet tons of incredible people, and it gives you something to focus on besides school work.
HC: Do you have plans for spring break? If so, where?
SL: I’ll be hanging out in my hometown, and I’m so excited to get to spend some time with my family! We’re celebrating my brother’s 18th birthday and visiting my grandparents and cousins in Illinois. I also get to see my boyfriend for the first time in almost a month and hopefully I’ll get to see some old friends, too.
