Miss Campus Cutie: Emily Huehns

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UW Stout chapter.

Name: Emily Huehns

Hometown: Lino Lakes, Minnesota

Program of Emphasis: Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Management

Year: Sophomore

Relationship Status: Single

Favorite:

Song: I have so many it is torture to pick just one, but this week it is “FourFiveSeconds” by Rihanna, Kanye West, and Sir Paul McCartney.

Quote: “Life is too short to worry about stupid things. Have fun. Fall in love. Regret nothing, and don’t let people bring you down.”

Place to be: The cabin in the summertime of course: bonfires, swimming, and clear night skies; what more could someone ask for?

Celebrity Crush: Theo James, oh my… is he dreamy or what?

HC: Tell us a little bit about yourself.

EH: I am a very bubbly person, I am easily entertained and laugh at almost everything and I am always up to try something new!

HC: In what ways are you involved on campus?

EH: I am in UW-Stout’s Dance Ensemble and this year I will be choreographing a dance. I am also in Stout’s Events Society, which is a great learning experience for the field I want to go into.

HC: You’re currently involved in UW-Stout’s Dance Ensemble. What is your favorite thing about being in Dance Ensemble here?

EH: I love being able to have an escape from any stressful schoolwork, and I have made memories and friends within the club that I will keep forever!

HC: For those of us that aren’t familiar, what is different about the dance team at Stout and Dance Ensemble?

EH: The dance team is the group who competes with other schools, and also performs at football games and other sporting events, where Dance Ensemble is a club on campus that has practices throughout the semester and then two recitals at the end of each semester.

HC: How long have you been dancing?

EH: Sixteen years!

HC: What is your favorite aspect of Valentine’s Day? Did you have any special plans?

EH: I love, love. I think Valentine’s Day to some people is somewhat corny, but I think it’s nice to make someone else feel appreciated and loved; it doesn’t even have to be a significant other, just anyone in general deserves to be reminded that they are appreciated. I didn’t have any special plans this year unfortunately, just watched some movies and ate junk food with the girl’s, which is always the best!

HC: I completely agree! What do you enjoy most about meeting someone new?

EH: I love meeting new people. I find it really easy to talk to others, so when I have the opportunity I want to know everything about the other person! What I enjoy most is just getting to know who they are on a deeper level.

HC: What’s the best, or worst, pickup line you’ve ever heard?

EH: I was sitting in class one day, and a boy dropped to the ground and started complaining about his knee, I was so confused at first and then of course I asked if he was okay, and he responded with, “Yeah I’m okay, I just hurt my knee falling for you.” I laughed so hard because that was the first time anyone used a pick up line on me!

HC: What’s one quality you always look for in a significant other?

EH: A sense of humor. I love a guy who can make me laugh, or is able to laugh along with me!

HC: What is one thing most people don’t know about you?

EH: Most people don’t know that I was born in Illinois.
