Your typical fashion-forward woman owns an average of about ten pairs of shoes. Many own beyond that amount. That’s because we have so many choices to select from and styles change season by season. A perfect shoe can make an outfit complete. Some are for comfort, some are for basic function, but most of them are just for style. As the rain turns to snow and the weather drops below 20 degrees, new shoes come to the market to fit the weather conditions. I’m mainly referring to boots. Every girl has at least one pair, if not two or three. Let’s face it, no one wants to be seen in a pair of boots that are made for playing in the snow, they want to wear trendy pairs. Luckily, there’s many different styles that are a must-have for the cold season:
1. The Bootie
Casual and comfortable, worn with leggings or skinny jeans. They are dressier than flats, but not as bulky as a boot.
2. Fur-Lined
Yes, UGG’s and BearPaws have been popular for years now, but there’s many other styles to pick from that ensure that your toes stay warm when walking to campus.
3. Rain Boots
I know, rain eventually turns into snow. However, once it melts, your pants and shoes get soaked. If you’re going to be doing a lot of shopping or walking a far distance across streets or puddle-filled parking lots, these boots help keep you dry.
4. Combat
If you want to stay trendy, these still continue to be seen in nearly every shoe department are are worn in the streets and by celebrities.
5. Leather
These boots come in every style and color from black, brown, nude, white, to heels, flat or decked out in rhinestones. These are the most versatile boots, and a girl can never have too many. They can be stylish with any top and go perfectly with a pair of skinny pants.
6. Suede and Laced
The newest, trendiest style in today’s markets are Sorel’s or similar can be found in every classroom this season.
