The most anticipated streaming service has finally made its debut. Disney+ released on November 12th and it is definitely not a disappointment. If you ever get the feeling that you want to relive your childhood, now you can without having to search on YouTube or buy anything on Amazon Prime, plus some Disney+ originals that you can’t watch anywhere else. Lists upon lists were being made of potential shows that could be on Disney+ and now it’s been confirmed. Here are some of the shows that bring back my inner preteen self.Â
- Hannah Montana
-
Of course this is the first show on my list. I was obsessed with this show. I owned like 5 Hannah Montana barbies, okay? My room was Hannah Montana themed. We’re not going to dive any deeper to my obsession, but let’s just say that The Bone Dance is still embedded in my memory and I’ve used it during exams. Honestly, if I could still play my Hannah Montana Spotlight World Tour Playstation 2 game, I would. My parents put up with A LOT during those days, including going on a wild goose chase for that PS2 game. When I rewatch this show, I will turn into that 12 year old girl and will constantly quote it, so consider this a heads up.
- Wizards of Waverly Place
-
WHAT’S THAT? A HAT. A CRAZY, FUNKY, JUNKY HAT. OVERSLEPT. HAIR UNSIGHTLY. TRYNA LOOK LIKE KIERA KNIGHTLY. WE’VE BEEN THERE, WE’VE DONE THAT. WE SEE RIGHT THROUGH YOUR FUNKY HAT. Excuse me. I’m impressed I remember that. When this show was in its prime, I was a closeted fan. I had to keep up the front that I didn’t like it because of Selena Gomez, who was dating Justin Bieber for the last few years of the show. However, I love Selena, always have, and still do. And I still love this show. It makes me wish that I was a wizard.
- The Suite Life of Zack & Cody/Suite Life On DeckÂ
-
I had the BIGGEST crush on Zack. Not to mention, this show was something that my parents would actually enjoy watching with me, so of course I would abuse that and watch it whenever it was on. I’m still going to do that now, except I’ll be able to binge the heck out of these two shows. Also, I’m not going to lie, I’m excited for Mr. Moseby and his irritability to be back in my life.
- Jessie
-
This show came out during my transition into teenage-hood, but I still watched it every now and again. I also love Cameron Boyce. However, I won’t be able to ever watch this again without sobbing because of the tragic loss of Cameron earlier this year, may he rest in peace.
- Good Luck Charlie
-
I wasn’t as into this show, but I did enjoy watching it and would definitely watch it again. Also, I’m a little salty that they ended it just because they portrayed a lesbian couple in the show. However, all that aside, I’m just happy they put it on the app.
- Jonas
-
Jonas was another show that I was a closeted fan of. I never like the Jonas Brothers back in the day. However now, I will actively listen to their new and old music. I don’t know why I didn’t like them. Either way, I still watched this show in the privacy of my living room.
- Shake It Up
-
This was from the days where Bella Thorne didn’t annoy the heck out of me. So, if you ever catch me praising Bella, please know I’m referring to this show and nothing else.
- That’s So Raven
-
I love this show. I haven’t watched the remake of it, but I’m excited to. I’m a little sad that Cory in the House isn’t on Disney+ because I actually liked that one a little more than That’s So Raven, but I’m not going to dive deeper into that.
- Phil of the Future
-
This was the first show that I had ever watched that wasn’t apart of Disney Jr. I felt like a rebellious little kindergartner. I don’t remember what the show was necessarily about, but I do have flashbacks of sitting on my living room floor after watching a morning’s worth of Rolie Polie Olie and Bear In The Big Blue House and enjoying it.
We’re not going to go into movies because there are MANY that I am definitely going to watch and rewatch. Needless to say, if you haven’t gotten Disney+ or aren’t borrowing someone else’s, you NEED to. It’s going to be handy when you’re having a bad day and just need to escape back to the days of innocence and joy.
