What is Herbal Tea and Why is it so Good for Me?

Unlike black, green, and white tea, herbal tea is not actually prepared from the leaves of a tea plant at all. Herbal tea is a beverage made from the infusion of herbs, spices, and other plant material in hot water, and usually does not contain caffeine. There are many types of herbal teas available, each with its own amazing benefits, so choose wisely!

Lemongrass

  •  Helps to digest food, therefore it is often served after dinner

Ginger

  • Increases energy and acts as a stimulator
  • Helps to digest food and control nausea
  • Anti-inflammatory properties

Peppermint

  • Reduces vomiting, motion sickness, and nausea
  • Strengthens immune system and protects against mild coughs, congestion, aches, and pain

Chamomile

  • Reduces stress and helps to digest food
  • Aids in peaceful sleep and reduces problems of insomnia

Rose hip

  • Rich source of Vitamin C
  • Beneficial to tissue health, adrenal function, and skin
