Holidays All Over the World: Cookie day.

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UWB chapter.

Anyone know anything better than having a cup of hot chocolate with cookies in cold winter evenings? Me neither!

If you are as passionate about the cookies as I am — the cookie holiday is something you should definitely celebrate!

National cookie day is celebrated by Americans on December the fourth. The origin of the holiday itself is not clarified. However, the history of the cookie is “a well documented fact.” Cookies were invented in Persia in the seventh century. Thanks to the Muslim conquest of Spain, cookies spread all around Europe. By the end of the fifteenth century cookies became the most consumed snacks in Europe.

After conquering the hearts of European people, cookies moved to America in the seventeenth century. Nowadays cookies are one of the most popular desserts in America.

To celebrate this holiday, simply let yourself enjoy your favorite cookie at any time throughout the day!
