1. You don’t need to spend a fortune to have a good time! I’m a huge fan of roadtrips that are so worth it if you split gas cost/ room costs with a few people. A spontaneous adventure with good company, the perfect Spring Break trip. From the West Coast, there are so many close stops in Canada like Vancouver or Richmond night market. Or take a trip farther south along the Oregon Coast or Arizona to see the Grand Canyon! The options are endless.Â
2. It’s okay to just take time for yourself during this week off. We all need time for self reflection. Maybe this Spring Break is going to be a week off from not just school stress, but life stress. Take this time to be mindful, do some journaling, and come back refreshed and ready to kill Spring Quarter!
3. Make a goal for the week, so you don’t feel directionless! Each of us has a different intetion for the Spring Break, whether that’s to pick up an old hobby, reach out to childhood friends, or just to find yourself. Being aware of your goal for the week beforehand will make for a more fullfilling Spring Break.Â
4. Don’t forget about your previous Professors & collegues. It is so easy to leave a class and leave everything behind you including the assignments and the people. Don’t let that happen and take advantage of potential networking opportunities. Connect with people once classes are over and try to keep in contact at least once every few months!
5. Be ready for Spring Quarter! Yes, enjoy the time you have off, but set aside one day to get all your supplies together, buy the neccesary books, and mentally prepare yourself. You’ll definitely regret it if you don’t. With all that in mind, I hope you all are ready for Spring Break! I definitely am and have been counting down the days till then.
