I recently saw The Greatest Showman in theaters, and it was one of the best movies I’ve seen in a while! I was expecting an average film but was taken by surprise in several ways. Not only was it a musical that took me on an emotional rollercoaster (I cried four times), it didn’t focus entirely on Zac Efron like I expected. It incorporated other elements and different characters to make the movie likable all-around. Finally, this movie connected with each and every person in the theater and left us feeling warm-hearted.
As I was listening to the soundtrack afterward, I began to see how much it actually related to college life. Here’s a list of The Greatest Showman songs to listen to for every moment in the semester.Â
1. Tightrope by Michelle Williams
How I feel when I’m checking out at Publix, and I think I’ll have enough money to pay but I’m not entirely sure.
2. Come Alive by Zendaya, Hugh Jackman, Keala Settle, and Daniel Everidge
When you remember an assignment as you’re drifting off to sleep…
3. Never Enough by Zac Efron and Hugh Jackman
As I watch “Riverdale” on Netflix, the words “never enough” come to mind as I spoon ice cream down my throat.
4. A Million Dreams by Hugh Jackman, Austyn Johnson, and Cameron Seely
The start of the semester…
5. Rewrite the Stars by Zac Efron and Zendaya
…the end of the semester.
6. From Now On
This is my mantra as I furiously Core Cycle and vow to be a healthier person…which lasts about an hour until I get home.
The Greatest Showman is out in theaters now or, listen to the soundtrack for a playlist that will 100 percent relate with your life as a college student.
