The thoughts of Spring Break is dancing right around the corners of your mind (yay)! Midterms are finished and you have been saving for the break that

is already needed this 2018, so where to go?

If you are completely out of vacation idea’s and are tired of attending the same old beaches, let me freshen up your vacations spots with a little bite of South Carolina!

South Carolina at my first reaction sounds like a history vacation, but honestly I was thrilled when I finally got a chance to look into it.

Hotels

Yes, price matters! Everyone knows that on a Spring Break trip the hotel shouldn’t take up the majority of your savings, so thank goodness South Carolina hotels won’t take all your hard earned money away! SC hotels typically range from $80 – $250 dollars a night. Price fluctuates depending on your proximity to South Carolina’s beautiful beaches, and its historical landmarks.

On our trip, the four of us split a hotel bill for the three days and stayed with a total of $90 dollars per person, so our hotel fee for the three days was $360; $90 a night.

We got a hotel 30 minutes from Folly Beach, and 45 minutes from Charleston. If transportation is an issue when figuring out your hotel situations, consider staying within walking distance of beaches or towns of SC. Note that it may be more expensive!

Attached are a few hotels with information regarding place and price!

Food

You’ve got to eat, and SC will definitely prove to be a great place to order! Whether you and your girls want to dress up and eat somewhere fancy, or just be able to order quickly with your PJ’s on, SC has food to fit anyone.

Charleston has all the food, trust me! The town was full of unique and upscale shops and restaurants. On our trip we stuck with fast food places. However, we planned to eat at a fancy restaurant close to the shops of Charleston.

Here are a couple of lists of SC’s top 10 restaurants.

Places to See

Like all vacation spots, you have the tourists locations, and the locals favorite destinations. Within SC you can find a little bit of both. Ask around while traveling here where to eat and spend your time. SC is full of friendly folks who love to point tourists towards great destinations that are remarkable to the city.

On our trip, we enjoyed Charleston for all its trendy shops and boutiques. We visited the Charleston City Market, along with some of the historic monuments surrounding.

Out of all our travels together, our favorite destination had to be the beach! Folly Beach was perfect. Though it was a mostly cold adventure, and we were frozen, we regretted nothing. The beach was quiet and sparse (partly to the cold). Everyone there was relaxing in the sun, while us Georgia girls watched the rolling waves.

In totality, South Carolina is a destination that is made for the shoppers, historians, foodies, and beach lovers. If you are looking to relax and take a break from the noisy tourist spots of popular beaches, come to SC! The people here are kind, and the experience will leave you wanting to head back to South Carolina on your next Spring Break!
