Is it just me, or does it feel like time is passing all of us by? Days, weeks, months, and years are flying by and it seems as if we just don’t have time to do everything that we want to do anymore. One thing that I’ve been realizing is that we really do have to live life to the fullest because we aren’t promised the next day. Everything that we say we want to do or accomplish in our life, we need to be working towards making those things happen!

At the beginning of 2017, I made a list of twenty-five things that I want to accomplish before I turn 25. I guess these things could be considered “short-term goals” since I’m only three, almost two years away from reaching that golden age (that’s so mind blowing to me). For those that are like me who are in the mindset of making life the best it can be like I am, I suggest making a list like I did to look at on a regular– it seriously helps you stay excited on what life has to bring, and keeps you appreciative of the little things that life has to offer!

Not sure on how to start your 25 by 25 list? Use mine as a cheat sheet!

  1. Travel to at least three places outside of the United States
  2. Learn yoga
  3. Reach my fitness goal
  4. Reteach myself how to use Photoshop, FinalCut Pro, and other computer softwares
  5. Reconnect with an old friend
  6. Make a list of restaurants I want to eat at, and go to them
  7. Fly first class on an airplane
  8. Learn how to take care of my car (maintenance and fixtures)
  9. Speak at an event as a guest speaker
  10. Pay some of my parents bills
  11. Create a savings account for my future kids/family
  12. Be able to cook a three course meal all by myself
  13. Do something out of my comfort zone
  14. Watch the sunrise from a cliff or mountain top
  15. Learn Spanish fluently
  16. Learn how to braid my own hair
  17. Ride every ride at Disney World
  18. Take a picture next to my favorite celebrity’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame
  19. Attend a yacht party
  20. Donate $5,000 to an organization of my choice
  21. Go on a mission trip
  22. Take a spontaneous road trip
  23. Relaunch my nonprofit organization
  24. Get hired for an amazing job
  25. Teach someone about Jesus Christ

Now that you’ve read my list, it’s time for you to write yours! Grab a pen and some paper, and jot your thoughts down. If you’re not into writing, and prefer photos, create a vision board of all your short term goals! Don’t let life continue to pass you by. We’ve only got a little bit of time, and it’s going by fast. Appreciate the little things, and enjoy every minute of the day. You’re going to have more fun living when you know you’re living for something. Trust me!
