Like a brand new hairstyle or freshly waxed brows, well-manicured nails are essential to a polished look. Your nails are like a work of art and while we all enjoy an eccentric shape, a pop of color, and the occasional jewel here and there, sometimes you just want to go back to the basics. Nudes are on-trend! They go with anything in your wardrobe and there’s also a color to match almost every skin tone.

Regardless of whether you like to wear your real nails or acrylic, the most important thing is keeping them healthy. It doesn’t take a lot of time, just consistent care. A lot of us rely on nail technicians, but even they don’t always practice healthy nail care, so here are a few helpful tips:

1. Use acetone free polish remover.

2. Don’t cut your cuticles; moisturize them with oil and gently push them back.

3. Use a fine grit cushion file and lightly go from the corner to the center, not back and forth.

4. Buff your nails with a buffer, not a file.

5. Soak your nails in milk; it helps strengthen them.

Like I said before, nudes can go with anything. OPI has one of the best versatile lines when it come to nudes.
