Being active on campus can mean a lot of things, such as joining organizations, volunteering for school activities or simply being social to people you don’t know. There are benefits for doing those things and more.
1.New Friends:
 Who doesn’t’ like having new friends on campus? You’ll always have someone to hang out with when there’s literally nothing else to do. Being active on campus does require you to actually talk to people in order to be friend. Joining organizations on campus can also help build your resume. You never know what connections you can make.

2.Become connected with your School:
Being connected is more than paying your tuition and going to class. You want to be able to tell someone why you love the school you’re attending. By staying active on campus, you’ll never miss what is going on around you.
3.Opportunities:
If people see you being active on campus, you may be the go to person for information, activities and help for new people on campus.

You can learn new things from other people and vice versa because not everyone is culturally aware of everything. Being on campus gives you that insight.
5. You may discover a new career path:
By opening yourself up to organizations and new people, you may discover that what you went to college for originally may have changed dramatically. College is the place to truly find out what you want to do in life.
6. Self Esteem Boost and Leadership:
By being involved in group activities, you may find yourself being a leader on campus. This can lead to a boost in your self-esteem and other people’s respect for you.
