This week’s campus cutie has a fun and loving personality with a gorgeous smile. There’s so much more than a pretty face here, so if you haven’t yet had the chance to, meet Lauren!Â
Â
Name:Â Lauren Sims
Major:Â English
Hometown: Stone Mountain, Ga
Classification: Senior  Â
On Campus Involvement:Â Deep Release Poetry Society, OnTap Magazine, ODRADEK,
Relationship Status:Â In a Relationship
Â
HC:  What made you choose Valdosta State?Â
LS: I couldn’t afford to go out-of-state and I didn’t want to be too close to home.
HC: What has been your most memorable year at VSU?Â
LS: My freshman year! Hands down!
HC:  What do you plan to do with your major?Â
LS: I plan on writing for Essence Magazine. I also want to host, act, and produce shows and films. I also want to become a Holistic Healer and open a Tiny House Rehabilitation Resort.
Â
Â
HC:  What are you passionate about? What inspires you?Â
LS: I’m passionate about helping others and gaining knowledge. Life inspires me. I learn from everyone and everything, and each experience teaches me something different. Love inspires me the most though.
HC:  Where do you see yourself in 10 years?Â
LS: I see myself writing, living in a yurt or an earthship in an open beautiful area with a beautiful family. I see my non-profit for the homeless being very successful as well as my holistic healing center. Ultimately, I see myself being well-traveled, well-versed, and free.
HC:Â What are some turn offs in a significant other? What things do you look for?Â
LS: Arrogance, ignorance, pigheadedness, and egoism are all HUGE turn offs for me. I look for compassion, humor, lightheartedness, humility, spirituality, and patience in a significant other.
HC:Â Describe your perfect date.Â
LS: I don’t really have an idea for a perfect date, but spending time laughing, getting lost in conversation and eating well near water, or in an area with a beautiful view would be pretty dope.
HC:Â Describe yourself in 3 words.Â
LS: Spiritual. Creative. Loving.
HC: What’s your favorite quote?Â
LS: “The only thing constant in the world is change.”
HC: What do you think is the most important thing in life?
LS: Love.
Â
When you see Lauren on campus don’t be afraid to speak!Â
#HCXO!
