Your room is supposed to be your getaway and privacy from the world. As girls, we want it to be functional, yet cute and personal. However, did you know that the wall color of a room can affect your mood? Find your room color and see what it says about you.
Yellow: Yellow is such a happy and energetic color choice for a space. It’s bright and lively, and personally my absolute favorite color :) . However, yellow walls can be overwhelming. It has been proven that more arguements happen in rooms with yellow walls. It can make one feel anxious or irritated, and no one wants to feel that way in their own room. Alternatively, yellow works great as an accent color in a room. There are still so many shades of yellow to choose from, so you shouldn’t rule it out completely.
Blue: Ah…blue. Such a calming and peaceful color, and the most popular choice as someone’s favorite color. And it’s not a bad choice for room color either. Also associated with nature and nice skies, blue walls are relaxing and relieving to anyone. The color is known to slow down one’s pulse and soothe one’s mind. Blue is a serene color choice and works beautifully with any other color.
Red: The color red can range from love to hate and everything in between; consequently, red is tricky when it comes to wall color. It is very intense and can cause an increase in blood pressure and appetite. Red is apart of the warm color scheme, but it can come off strong and is probably better as an accent color. Pops of red are much more doable than all four walls!Â
Green: Green represents tranquility, nature, and good luck. Green walls can relieve stress and have the same calming effects as blue. Green is a positive color and always seems fresh and uplifting in a space.Â
