So Will I (100 Billion X) Encouragement

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Valdosta chapter.

Do you ever think about the meaning of the lyrics in a song? It could be the one line in a song that has so much meaning. For me, the song “So Will I” by Hillsong Worship has heavily impacted my heart. It is the last lyric in the song line that states the following, “You’re the one who never leaves the one behind” Keep in mind, this song is over five minutes long and it is the last few lyrics that happen to mean the most to me.

The reason I love this remarkably is because of a specific parable in the Bible. The parable is called “Parable of the Lost Sheep”.

It is located in the Bible within Luke chapter 15 verse 1. It talks about how God will leave the ninety-nine sheep in its sight to find the one sheep who is lost. In other words God will rejoice over one sinner who repents and comes back to the Lord over the ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent. God loves us so much he will never leave us behind. I find it so special that we are all equally, individually, meaningful and important to him that he would leave the ninety-nine to help the one come back to him.
