Campus Celebrity Nick Denuzzo

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Vanderbilt chapter.

Rites of Spring is one of the best Vanderbilt traditions, bringing us artists like Drake, Kid Cudi, and Wiz Khalifa. Not only is the Vanderbilt Programming Board Music Group in charge of choosing which artists will perform at Rites, but also choosing the artists performing at Quake. Quake this year brought us Wale and Kendrick Lamar—not to drop any names. This week’s campus celebrity is Nick Denuzzo, who is not only an awesome person, but also part of the Music Group (he gets free backstage passes…) which means we can all thank him for how great Quake was this year.

Name: Nick Denuzzo
Hometown: Tipp City, Ohio

How did you become involved with the Vanderbilt Programming Board Music Group?
Last year in March I applied for the group and made it on.

What does the group do?
The group plans and works Quake and Rites of Spring. Our main function is selecting the artists for both shows.

What is your favorite part of the program?
My favorite part of the program is working Rites of Spring. It is an amazing time.

How do you pick the musical guests?
We debate amongst ourselves about the artists then take a vote.

What are your expectations for Rites of Spring?
I think Rites is going to be spectacular and that all the students will be really excited for it—better than last year.
