How to Explore Nashville

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Vanderbilt chapter.

When classes get stressful, take a break on the weekend and enjoy Nashville. Most of you have probably been too stuck in the Vanderbubble to explore all of Nashville’s treasures, so here is a quick list of must-sees:

1.     Loveless Cafe- Yes, you’ll need to bum a ride for this 30-minute drive, but it is completely worth it. Loveless has the best biscuits you’ll ever eat and is one of the best examples of southern cooking in Nashville. Convince your parents to take you here next parent’s weekend!
2.     Belle Meade Plantation- This is a gorgeous area and a fun place for a walk. Take a tour, so you can tell your friends you’ve been to a Southern plantation!
3.     Country Music Hall of Fame- Even if you don’t like country, take advantage of your proximity to this attraction! Hang out on a Saturday afternoon and experience the history of country music.
4.     Bluebird Cafe- This is a great place to grab a bite to eat and listen to some incredible music. This is a perfect example of music being the heart of Nashville.
5.     Opryland- We’ve all heard of it. It’s a bit far but definitely worth it. This is a place that attracts people from all over, so go while you still live in Nashville! See the hotel or maybe even a show!

Nashville is an incredible place to live, so explore it when you get some time! That way, after graduation, you’ll have some great stories to tell about your college town.
