What organizations are you currently involved in?Kappa Delta, Vanderbilt Protecting Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), Vanderbilt International Relations Association (VIRA), Reformed University Fellowship (RUF), No Labels, AMIGOS, and the Undergraduate Advisory Board for the College of Arts & Science.
Tell us about PAWS and what you do for the organization. PAWS is a service organization that works to help care for stray animals and find them loving homes. I’m the Vice President, and together with the Executive Board and our volunteers, I work with local shelters to help socialize animals for adoption, exercise them, and show them some love! It’s really fun and fulfilling. Plus, there’s no better way to de-stress than play with puppies (and kittens, and sometimes horses)!
When did you get engaged and when do you plan to get married?I got engaged on September 4th, and we’re planning to get married next year :)
How do you plan to balance your schoolwork, extracurricular activities, and social life here at Vanderbilt while planning a wedding? Our friends and family are the best, so we’ve got an army of wedding planners! It’s more exciting than stressful, and is actually pretty manageable with good communication.
