So You Need A Last Minute Costume? Here Are 7 Perfect Ideas

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Vanderbilt chapter.

It’s a busy time of year. We get it. So if you’re a procrastinator who loves Halloween but don’t have enough time or energy to put a lot of effort into your costume, here are some quick options:

  1. Minion

What you will need:

  • Any yellow sweater/top

  • Blue overalls

  • A yellow beanie

  • Some DIY googly eyes to put on your yellow beanie (you can literally just buy this from Target or any arts and crafts store)

  1. Rosie the Riveter

What you will need:

  • A red bandana (ideally with white polka dots but any will do!)

  • A blue/white button-on

  • Jeans

  • Red lipstick

  1. Robber

What you will need:

  • A striped shirt

  • Black jeans

  • Comfortable black sneakers

  • A black beanie

  • A money bag (use any plain color shopping bag and tape/draw on a $ sign)

  1. Where’s Waldo?

What you will need:

  • A red and white striped shirt/dress

  • Whatever else you want to pair with it: jeans, a skirt, knee-high socks, make it your own!

  1. Bunny/Cat

What you will need:

  • Bunny/cat ears that I’m sure you have because of that one year you decided you might want to pull a Mean Girls and be the sexy bunny/cat

  • Make it your own! It’s pretty obvious you’re a bunny/cat so now you can decide what kind of bunny/cat you want to be this year!

  1. Onesie

What you will need:

  • Any onesie you may have! (Preferably character/animal-themed but any one will work to ensure you have the most comfortable Halloween)

  1. When in doubt, just throw all your black clothes and cosmetics together and make others guess who you are.

You could be a zombie or Audrey Hepburn. Who knows?
