Why did you choose VCU?
Having grown up in Richmond Iāve always admired downtown and VCU. Iāve always been the creative one in my family and I knew I didnāt want to go to an ordinary school. I wanted to be surrounded by diversity and I find the city atmosphere inspiring.
What is your favorite thing about VCU?
My favorite thing about VCU is how friendly everyone is. I genuinely feel like everyone on campus has each otherās backs. Itās a big ram family.
What activities are you involved with around campus?
Iām a writer for Her Campus at VCU, the treasurer for the Society of Professional Journalists at VCU and Iām a college ambassador for Beyond Her Blush.
Why did you decide to join Her Campus at VCU?
I transferred from a local community college to VCU and I wanted to find a way to transition and make friends. I love writing and I love what Her Campus stands for.

It got nationally shared by Her Campus nationals and it was a pick of the week by one of the Her Campus nationalās editors.

If you love a diverse and creative atmosphere, then VCU is for you. Besides a quality education, thereās a ton to do here and great job/internship opportunities.

My absolute dream job would to be a reporter or writer for a newspaper or magazine or an online version of the two. I love writing about things people can relate to and I love writing about things that affect the community.
Where do you want to live after graduation?
Ideally, I would love to stay in Richmond because itās my home and my family is here (also that way I could get a dog literally the day after graduation). But Iām going to apply to jobs all over Virginia and D.C. and hope for the best. Iām graduating next December so I have some time.
Whatās one thing you wish more people knew about you?
I wish people knew that I have a big heart and I love making new friends, but I refuse for my kindness to be taken advantage of. I used to be really sensitive, but experiences in my life have made me grow a thicker skin.
In the movie of your life, what actor/actress plays you and why?
In the movie of my life, Kat Dennings would play me. People have told me multiple times that I look like her. Also we share the same birthday which is so weird but awesome!
