1. Uber
Uber is basically a life saver in any situation. Don’t have cash on you for a cab? No problem. In my experience, the drivers are always safe and reliable for when you need to get somewhere quickly. Plus, it’s easy to split money evenly among the people in your car!
2. Venmo
This App eliminates the hassle of exchanging money. It is a virtual wallet that allows you to send money to friends easily within minutes. This especially makes ordering food much less difficult if you don’t have cash or exact change on you. It’s also proven to be a safe way to transfer money.Â

3. The Villanova University App
This App contains great resources such as a virtual Campus Map (which can be extremely helpful the first few days), a calendar of updated Campus events, shuttle information, and access to grades and NovaBucks locations in the area. Essentially, this App does it all.Â

4. GroupMe
This is a messenging App that I didn’t discover until starting college, but it became essential in keeping in touch with different groups I was involved with and staying updated during Orientation. Â GroupMe allows you to be part of different conversations containing large numbers of people, unlike text group chats. This is a great option for having group chats among friends with androids and iphones.
5. FitStar
If you want to stay in shape during college but aren’t sure where to begin, download FitStar. This App acts as your personal trainer and coach, creating workout and exercise plans for you. You can try these routines at the gym or even in your room!Â
