Beauty Products You Can Purchase for a Cause!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Virginia Tech chapter.

October is all about the color PINK. We see football games, charity walks, runs, and promotions revolving around pink. Why? October is dedicated to Breast Cancer Awareness. We become involved in these events because we care and want to aid in the treatment and cure of those currently suffering from breast cancer as well as those who have survived. We, as busy college students may not always have the time to participate in such public events to show our awareness and care for the cancer cause.
As college women, there are simple ways we can donate to the cancer cause without changing our daily routines. Let’s face it: most of the time, we spend quite a while primping ourselves for a night out, or even for a day of class (most of the time.) What if simply buying a specific brand of makeup could donate to a charity or research fund for cancer?
According to Teen Vogue’s October issue, popular makeup companies have now made this an option. To find these ten charitable products, make a simple trip to a department or convenience store, or go on an online shopping spree. These inexpensive beauty products will donate a fraction of the profits to a charitable foundation.
