Tuesday kicked off homecoming week with a bang as students filled up Burruss to enjoy the sounds hip-hop and rap as Campus Cutie, DJ Rhetorik, spinned some old-school hip-hop and top hits of today and got the crowd hype for the performers of the night, Hoodie Allen and Kendrick Lamar. Hoodie opened up the concert with music from his mixtape, Leap Year, including “James Franco” and “The Chase is On” and performed music from his debut album All American as well. Kendrick ended the night with a BANG BANG as he performed all the crowd favorites from “Swimming Pools”, “Hol’ Up”, “A.D.H.D.” to “The Recipe” just to name a few. It was a great night for hip-hop lovers at Tech and just music lovers in general!
