In honor of the 32 victims of the April 16, 2007 tragedy at Virginia Tech, runners will participate in the
3.2 Run in Remembrance this Saturday, April 14. The run will begin on the south side of the Drillfield near War Memorial Gym and will take runners on a 3.2 run around the Tech campus. The run has been held each year since the tragedy and involves the entire Blacksburg community. There is no charge to run and participants may choose to either walk or run.
As an added bonus, there will be a “Thank You” baseball barbeque as a way of thanking the first responders to the tragedy. Runners and walkers will receive a free meal if they wear their race bib or 3.2 Run in Remembrance shirt. The baseball game begins at 2 pm against the University of Miami. Admission is free, so go out, support Hokie baseball and the first responders, public safety and medical personnel!
