Finding something good to watch on Netflix can sometimes be a struggle. There’s nothing worse than starting a new series or show and then being disappointed two or three episodes in. Here are seven Netflix shows that are definitely worth the watch and won’t leave you disappointed:

The Night Agent

If you enjoy conspiracy thrillers, dramas, and action with hints of romance, then this show is for you. The series follows an FBI agent who answers an emergency call that leads to a dangerous conspiracy that there might be a mole at the White House. The ten episodes are filled with plot twists and alarming surprises that are guaranteed to capture your attention.

From Scratch

Be prepared to whip out the tissues. It is based on the book From Scratch: A Memoir of Love, Sicily, and Finding Home by Tembi Locke. There is an overflow of love, dreams, the importance of family, and resilience. This emotional series follows an American art student named Amy Wheeler studying abroad in Italy. During her time overseas, she meets Sicilian chef Lino. The show follows their sweet and enduring romance as the two chase their dreams and battle Lino’s severe health issues. This show was everything!

Spinning Out

What is it like to be a high-performing athlete while battling mental illness? This series follows a young figure skating prodigy who struggles to navigate family, love, and her bipolar disorder while trying to make a return to the ice rink after suffering a tragic accident. It is an intense romantic drama that explores the reality of falling in love while balancing a mental illness.

Clickbait

Eight episodes of jaw-dropping twists and turns. This dramatic thriller exposes the dark side of social media when husband and father Nick Brewer gets abducted and involved in a disturbing online crime with a plethora of shocking surprises. Each episode focuses on the perspective of a person involved in the case ranging from his wife to the detective. It is a really well-done series that will keep you on the edge of your seat to the very end.

Dream Home Makeover

My grandmother is a huge HGTV fan. Growing up, I would watch all the house hunting and home makeover shows with her. This show is perfect if you enjoy house renovation projects! Married couple Shea and Syd McGee travel around designing and creating houses for families who are looking for tailored homes that express their distinct styles.

Murdaugh Murders: A Southern Scandal

This docuseries follows the real accounts of the survivors of a boat crash that killed teenager Mallory Beach in February 2019 and the tragic story of Paul Murdaugh after her death. The three episodes reveal more about the people involved in the tragic event including a messy cover-up, toxic relationships, and substance abuse. This true crime series allows people who have been silenced regarding the events on February 24, 2019, to finally share their stories. 

Anne With An E

This show is full of all the emotions. This coming-of-age show has three seasons which follow the teen years of Anne, a spirited orphan who lives with a “spinster” (an older unmarried woman) and her tender-hearted brother who is also unmarried. The character development in almost all of the characters is absolutely beautiful over the course of the seasons. It explores the complexity and beauty of friendships, parenthood, womanhood, romance, education, and literature. Based on the classic children’s book series Anne of Green Gables, this show overflows with raw emotion, reliability, and incredible acting.
