If you’re lucky enough to be able to study abroad, especially in Europe, you’re probably going to be traveling a lot. With cheap flights, trains and even bus tickets, I’ve found myself running from country to country every other weekend with just a backpack. While studying abroad is an incredible opportunity, it can definitely make maintaining your usual beauty routine a bit more difficult. These are my top three favorite products to take on the road!
Make-up wipes are an absolute must. Between tiny hostel bathrooms, overnight buses and long layovers, doing a full face wash can be a rarity and leaving your make-up on at all times can be torture on your skin. While my favorite wipes back home are Neutrogena’s Hydrating Makeup Remover Wipes, they’ve been a bit hard to find over here, even in London. My new favorites are B. Pure’s Sensitive Micellar Cleansing Wipes that take off waterproof makeup and are super gentle on your skin, which is great for when you’re constantly changing environments.
In terms of coping with changing environments, I would definitely recommend keeping your favorite chap stick or lip moisturizer on hand. My go-to is Vaseline Lip Therapy because it’s super hydrating, healing, and gentle on sensitive skin.
Finally, my trusted stand by, in both travel and day-to-day life, is dry shampoo. Only having the weekends to travel can mean you’re on the move a lot and a full hair wash, dry, and styling will most likely not be an option. My favorite formula I’ve found so far is Tresemme’s Fresh Start Volumizing Shampoo. It gives extra life and bounce to your hair, and even comes in a great travel size.
Safe travels!
