Now that I am officially home for Thanksgiving (and beyond), I am going to have a lot of time on my hands. Something I took up during quarantine was cooking! I took it with me when going to school in August… as I was living in an apartment off-campus and had to fend for myself with meals. Now that I am back home (until the end of JANUARY), I am going to have a lot of time to kill. I have found a few Instagram accounts along the way that make cooking really fun! Even if you don’t necessarily like to cook, these accounts are the perfect way to get ~inspired~ (or even to just have pretty pictures of food on your feed)…

1. @thetoastedpinenut

Lindsay Grimes Freedman is your go-to for anything gluten-free. I am not gluten-free myself, but her recipes are so delicious you can’t even tell that they are. Even if you aren’t necessarily a gluten-free eater, this account is full of recipes that are healthy, low carb, and EASY (my favorite part)!! You can find her recipes on her website linked here.

2. @traderjoeslist

I LOVE Trader Joe’s. It is definitely the superior grocery store… no competition. I am obsessed with all of their fun and unique items but always scared to try something new. Enter: Trader Joe’s List. This account tries and reviews all of the new items at Trader Joe’s so you don’t have to. If you love Trader Joe’s, this account is a must follow.

3. @minimalistbaker

Anyone that lives in an apartment or house with a small kitchen (like myself or any college girl), this account is for you. With dishes that use ten ingredients (or less), and take 30 minutes (or less), Dana Schultz is the queen of making recipes that are vegan, gluten-free, vegetarian, or dairy-free that don’t taste like it! All of her recipes are available on her website linked here.

4. @whatsgabycookin

Gaby brands herself as a “Chef/California Girl,” and her feed is definitely representative of a sunny, colorful medley of everything from salads to creamy pasta to slutty brownies! She really does offer it all, and her recipes are all on her website, where she even has an entire tab dedicated to AVOCADOS!

5. @halfbakedharvest

If there is one food blogger that I am truly obsessed with, it’s Half-Baked Harvest, Tieghan Gerard!  Her dishes take comfort foods and transform them into something creative and totally unique. Plus, like many of the bloggers I have listed, they are not too complicated! My roommate made her pomegranate glazed salmon a few weeks ago, and the four of us agreed that it was our best dinner all semester! We are all obsessed with her, and even send her pictures of our recreations of her recipes (and she responds)!
