A month into school and you have already missed classes, work, and everything in between. And to top it off, midterms. The definition of stress. You may be running around freaking out. Let me tell you, it is not the end of the world. All it takes is five simple steps.
1. Breathe
I know you may be feeling flustered, but breathing can ease tough situations. Try some meditation practices like this youtube video. Â
2. Talk to your roommate, a friend on your hall, or your RA.Â
Let them know what is going on. Give them your schedule and ask if they can check in on you periodically. Especially, if you have those pesky 9am classes.
3. Invest in a planner or calendar of some sort
Come on, we all know you want to be like Leslie Knope. Try this cute one from Kate Spade. Â
4. Donât make all nighters a thing.
They may have been cool in middle school, but youâre in college now. Sleep is more important than you think. Â
5. Learn how to say âNOâ when you clearly have work to do. Â
Be like Ron Swanson, and trust when people see you with those textbooks theyâll just keep walking; it is for the best.Â
Remember the wise words of Hannah Montana: âEverybody makes mistakes… Everybody has those days⊠Everybody knows what Iâm talkinâ âbout⊠Everybody gets that way.â It is not the end of the world; we have four years to redeem ourselves. You got this!
