Welcome back, girls of Wake Forest! I am excited to see what is in store!
As a female, periods are definitely something that can be a literal pain. But in life, as well as in bodily functions, comfort foods can really do the trick when it comes to feeling better. While these foods may not necessarily be the best for you, they may just be the way to satisfy the period cravings we all get once a month.
1. Fries
As someone who loves potatoes, I’ll say it again… I LOVE POTATOES. My period is especially the time when I crave more! I cannot stand to go without some during my time of the month as the salted oasis brings me constant joy!
2. Chocolate
This dish is an oldie but a goody. Chocolate lovers know that this sweet treat is the best way to go when it comes to beating the bloated blues!
3. PIzzaÂ
If there was ever a period food that was a celebrity, pizza would be Beyonce AND Jay-Z. I think everyone can agree that while we can eat pizza anytime, your monthly is the best way to feel like a goddess during these troubling times.
4. Fried PicklesÂ
Spicy and tart, fried pickles are a southern favorite that deserves a side of ranch to help the flavor. This hometown delicacy is a crowd pleaser and a dish that can satisfy homesick period cravings.
5. Oreos
Chocolate is my forte, and I absolutely cannot live without chocolate cookies with creme filling in the middle during my time of the month. A whole sleeve of these is essential with a cup of milk to make the headaches go away.
6. Doritos/Potato Chips
You cannot tell me you have never done this before! Doritos are my absolute favorite cheesy snack to help me get through the cramps.
7. Ice Cream
This is by far the best, the ultimate, the most awesome thing you can eat on your period in my opinion! Ice cream makes the bad feels go away as every scoop signifies happiness!
That is all for now folks! I hope you have an amazing rest of the semester and I cannot wait to write for you some more!
