Now Presenting: HC Wake Forest’s Mr. Campus Freshman Nominees!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wake Forest chapter.

These guys may have made their big debut at last week’s showcase event, but it’s time for us to officially introduce your five Wake Forest nominees for the Mr. Campus Freshman competition! Meet Chester Bedell, Houston Clark, David Edwards, Kohler Kane and Lance Walker!

Chester Bedell

As the fifth person in his family to attend Wake, Chester is a truly born and bred Demon Deacon. Even though he’s only been on campus for a few months, he’s already starting to leave his mark on the Forest – he’s on Traditions Council, student government and is a regular at RUF. When he’s not keeping himself busy, he enjoys impersonating George W. Bush (he does a really good impression!), playing the bagpipes and the piano and watching football. Vote for Chester by ‘Liking’ his video on Facebook here!

Houston Clark

Meet Houston Clark, a southern gentleman from Chattanooga, TN who loves Jesus, Wake Forest, Chris Paul and his family. Houston especially loves life because of the awesome people that he gets to share it with (some of his favorite people include Ms. Netta and Josh from the Pit!). He likes to dance, is a huge supporter of Wake Forest athletics and loves the song “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough.” You can vote for Houston by ‘Liking’ his video on Facebook here!

David Edwards

Ladies, meet David Edwards. He’s a lifelong Deacon fan from Asheville, North Carolina who knows how to make girls swoon with his closet-poet status (he belted out a few rhymes at our event last week!). When he’s not coining poems in his free time, David spends his time golfing – he’s a scratch golfer … aka really good – and playing basketball. Wanna vote for David? Go ‘Like’ his video on Facebook here!

Kohler Kane

Hailing from Hot-lanta, meet former Campus Cutie Kohler Kane.  As the third sibling in his family to come to Wake, this Babcock resident is looking to keep the family legacy alive while also having fun here at the Forest. A former Eagle Scout and fan of Stewie from Family Guy – a deadly combo – we expect to see great things from Kohler. If you want to vote for Kohler, be sure to ‘Like’ his Facebook photo here.

Lance Walker

Last but not least, we introduce you to Lance Walker. While our other contestants might be jealous of the fact that Lance lives in the luxurious South Hall, there’s little not to like about this current freshman. A former lacrosse state champion from Winter Park, Florida, Lance has a fun sense of humor and is excited to be competing in the pageant. In the words of Miss Rhode Island from Miss Congeniality, his ideal date is April 25th… it’s not too hot, not too cold—you just need a light jacket! Be sure to check out Lance’s Regina-George-spoof on our Facebook Page to vote for him!

So here’s the deal: our nominees have all posted videos onto the HC Wake Forest Facebook Page explaining why they should win this round of the competition. All you have to do is “Like” your favorite video, and the winners will be announced on Sunday, November 20! From there, the Wake Forest winner will be up against winners from other Her Campus branches all over the country to compete for the ultimate title. Who will you vote to be Wake Forest’s Mr. Campus Freshman? Cast your vote now!
