This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wake Forest chapter.
Say goodbye to Bermuda shorts and jean capris, and say hello to beautiful floral print pants and gorgeous nude ballet flats. What better way to bid farewell to the fickle winter weather than with an amazing pair of pants that automatically scream spring and summer? Collegietes, this is your one stop guide to floral pants, and the best way to style them for the up-and-coming season of sun and fashion.

Preppy & Pastel

(ASOS: Skinny Cropped Trousers In Floral Print, $72.72)

Delmy, head fashion blogger of Fashion Bananas, sports her gorgeous floral print pants cinched at the ankle, accompanied with a great mix of spring pastel colors. Ladies, this pant with a white background is splashed with pastel flowers that encourage simple colorblocking, another trend that has been on the college fashionista scene for many seasons now! White background floral print pants can be paired with a gorgeous nude pumps for a great lunchtime look:

Don’t be afraid to mix-and-match colors. There is just one itsy-bitsy, tiny rule of thumb to follow: make sure the colors are the same or similar to those in the pants you are wearing! Rock your preppy pastels with pride and trust me, heads will turn in amazement.

Edgy-Rebel Diva

(ASOS: Vila Oriental Floral Printed Pants)

For those daring divas wanting to edge up the “girly stigma” floral print has. Instead of choosing the white background floral print pant, give your look a fashion- punch by choosing a darker background pant, like black and white super- bright flowers. The edgy head blogger of fashion blog Vintage Virgin pairs her pants with a two toned chiffon blouse and turquoise wedges! To add that vintage touch to this edgy look, add great cat eye glasses to get your very own touch of glam.

(Forever21: Cat Eye Sunnies, $5.80)

(Urban Outfitters, $16)
Adding these glam glasses will take your look up another notch. Shocking, yet daring!

Like color blocking, the mixed print trend is another craze that has not ended yet (luckily!) For the ladies who are not afraid to add polka dots with their floral prints, go for it! Some other unique touches to add to this look could be this super-popular “Peace Bra” from TopShop:

(Nasty Gal, $235)

The “pièce de résistance” to this look would be an awesome wide brim fedora, adding that simple, genuine touch to an otherwise edgy look!
