Things to do Around Winston-Salem During Halloween Week

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wake Forest chapter.

1. Scarowinds.”

Arguably the most famous haunted theme park in North Carolina, head over to Carowinds in Charlotte for the annual Halloween festivities. With haunted houses, scare zones and thrill rides, you could spend hours in the park without getting bored.

Tickets start at $37 online, and $67 at the gate.

2. Woods of Terror.

The Woods of Terror in Greensboro is only a 50 minute drive from campus. Walking 45 minutes through the actual woods is definitely the most eerie aspect of all the Halloween attractions. As the scariest of the haunted house options near Winston, this is a must-do in my opinion.

General admission tickets range from $20 to $32.

3. Carolina History and Haunts.

If you are looking for something fun to do within Winston-Salem, check out Carolina History and Haunts. Take a candlelit stroll through the Salem streets while your guide relays horrors stories that allegedly took place right here in town.

Ticket price is $15.

4. Hawks Pumpkin Patch

Arguably the easiest and cheapest way to get into the fall spirit. Head to Hawks Pumpkin Patch with some friends, take some pictures, carve some pumpkins or just take a stroll through the patch and enjoy the autumn atmosphere.
