As Galentine’s/Valentine’s Day approaches, I thought it would be nice to share some of my favorite romance movies of all time – most of which I’ve probably watched more than 5 times each (what can I say, I love to raise my expectations). Whether you’re having a movie night with a significant other, some friends, your dog, or by yourself with a stash of chocolate, here are some lovely-and-admittedly-cheesy movies I’ll probably be watching this month with friends over Zoom!
- Any of the To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before movies – screams the most Pinterest-worthy Valentine’s Day aesthetics; the last installment also comes out on the 12th just in time!
- Safe Haven – just a *hint* darker than the other ones on this list but still good nonetheless
- The Longest Ride – very sweet and feel-good
- Stuck in Love – cannot explain why I love this one so much, but I do (…also Logan Lerman)
- About Time – a beautiful movie with some time-travel
- Tangled – one of my favorite Disney movies of all time
- She’s the Man – hilarious with a kick*ss female lead
- The Last Song – not me watching Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth together and still pretending love exists…
- Footloose – for if you like dancing with a hint of romance
- The Fault in Our Stars – you might need some tissues
- Me Before You – again, watch at your own risk
- 10 Things I Hate About You – yes, just… yes
- Any of the A Cinderella Story movies – feel-good classics with nostalgic early 2000’s vibes
- The Parent Trap – such a classic and never gets old
- Crazy Rich Asians – The. Wedding. Scene.
- The Princess Diaries 1 & 2 – romance, royalty, and crowns galore
- Ella Enchanted – more Anne Hathaway royalty romance (this one doesn’t have enough hype, imo)
