It is often difficult finding the motivation to work out when you could do numerous other enjoyable activities instead. However, it is essential to spend around 30 minutes moving in some way every day. For your benefit, I have compiled a list of the most fun ways I like to exercise.

1. Dance cardio: My ultimate favorite workout is dance cardio. Dancing and singing along to music never fails to put a smile on my face. There are many different types of dance cardio workouts, so it is easy to find the genre of music or dance you like. I tend to find these workouts on YouTube, and sometimes even doing old Just Dance songs can cause you to break a sweat.

2. Kickboxing: This is a great way to get out any pent-up feelings you have. Kickboxing has you always moving, punching, and kicking. Luckily, there is no boxing expertise required to succeed in this workout, and you tend to feel empowered and strong doing it.

3. Yoga: In these unprecedented times, yoga is nice to take your mind off things and let your body relax. It may not be the most challenging workout, but it helps develop your flexibility and stretching. There are many different difficulty levels and types of yoga workouts available, so it is painless finding one that suits you.

4. Walking: Getting time outside is also crucial to keeping strong mental health. Walks allow you to forget about everything for a bit and take in the beauty of nature. I love admiring the fall leaves, houses, fellow walkers, and especially dogs. Take advantage and go for a walk before the weather becomes unbearably cold.

5. Cycling: This can either entail cycling on a standing bike or going for a bike ride outside. Personally, I am a big fan of standstill bikes and own a Peloton. The instructors are very energetic, the music is uplifting, and it is nice to see your statistics and compare them to others’. When COVID-19 is better, going to cycling studios provides an incredibly fun environment and workout.

These workouts are nice to do by yourself but can be even more fun with a workout partner. Most of these have easy options available on YouTube, so be sure to check them out next time you need the motivation to get moving.
