Single on Valentine’s Day? That’s not a problem at all! In fact, I think Valentine’s Day is just as enjoyable by spending it with your friends rather than a significant other. I love spending time with my group of friends and being grateful for their company. Seattle is full of fun places to go that can make this year’s Galentine’s Day the best one yet. Here are some of my favorites.
1. Pink and white flower wall
The streets of Seattle are filled with murals and in Pike Place Market, there is a floral pink and white wall that is popular among people who want a cute picture for the gram. Of course, it’s a go-to spot all year round, but its vibrant light pink color is perfect for a Galentine’s Day group photo.
2. Tour the Theo Chocolate Factory
Theo Chocolate is a chocolate shop located in Fremont that is known for selling high quality sweets made with organic and fair-trade ingredients. Group tours are offered for people to see how exactly the chocolate is made and the best part is the abundance of free samples they provide during and after the tour. I’ve visited the Theo Chocolate factory at least three times because it’s so fascinating to hear about the company’s history, see the chocolate being made, and eat unlimited quantities of chocolate.
3. NEKO Cat Cafe
Cat cafes can make for a unique and memorable Galentine’s day activity. The NEKO Cat Cafe located in Capitol Hill has a simple, yet modern, interior design (perfect for Instagram pictures) and of course, cats everywhere. They also have a full menu with coffee, pastries, and alcoholic drinks that are cat themed.
4. Go shopping at U-Village
Shopping with friends never disappoints. The U-Village near the University of Washington campus is an outdoor mall that is perfect for a big shopping spree or just window shopping.
Make the most out of your Galentine’s in Seattle this year and hit up some of my favorite places I like to spend time at with my friends.
