The bustling nature of the Emerald City clearly reflects in the innovation and passion of its entrepreneurs, not to mention the diversity of skills and products they showcase. Small business owners are entrepreneurs, artists, and talented citizens who deserve recognition for the craftsmanship and expertise they bring to the community. By shopping small, you can know that your purchases are benefitting hard-working teams who have continued to serve the city despite pandemic set-backs. So don’t be shy- read on for a list of some of the city’s most unique small businesses to support!

Thea Candle Co.

Thea Candle Co. is an aromatherapy candle company founded by two undergraduate students at the University of Washington. From a class project to a full-fledged business, their candle company is a testament to the power of youth entrepreneurship. Plus, Thea Candle Co. donates ten percent of the business’s profits to health and social justice organizations.
