It’s that time of year again and October has begun! There’s a chill in the air and it’s time to bring out the fall outfits! But most importantly it’s Thanksgiving season, which is a beautiful way to start off October.
As a university student, life can get busy with all the studying, social life, etc. But thanksgiving is that time where we can sit back and reflect on the blessings that are all around us!
Let me share with you a little snippet of some of the big and small things I’m thankful for this season!
- Friends and Family
-
This may be an obvious one, but family and friends are everything and I’m so grateful that I have people that I can journey through life with and I thank them every day for being apart of my life.
- The University of Waterloo
-
As much, as we complain about school and exams! It is something to be thankful for. I am thankful for being able to study at UW and I can’t wait to complete my degree here and see where my career takes me!
- Tea, Ice Cream, and Chocolate
-
Tea, ice-cream, and chocolate are my three favourite comfort treats! I am thankful that these 3 delicacies exist! So good!
- The Arts
-
I am thankful for music, books, paintings, writing etc. All these creative outlets have a way of bringing people together and lighting up a room! They have a way of making people feel different emotions and I think it’s great that we can always have access to these amazing Arts!
- Health
-
I am thankful for good health. Sometimes we forget to realize how lucky we are to have good health. Always remember to look after your mind, body, and spirit. Be thankful!
- Sweater Weather
-
I am thankful for Fall! I am thankful that this season exists so I can pull out all my fall sweaters and outfits! This is certainly one of my favourite seasons!
That’s a wrap, those are just some of the things big and small that I’m thankful for this Thanksgiving season! The question is “What are you thankful for this season?” Don’t forget to sit back and reflect on your blessings & share them with others!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Till next time,
Efuaye
